Equipped with the 2023 Kawasaki KX250X, Price quickly established himself as one of the front-runners in the E1 ranks, finishing the opening day of racing on the fast and flowing special stages in third position.
The following two days of enduro racing threw up a huge variety of tests through sandy pine forests and gravelly terrain, but the Victorian took it all in his stride and stayed consistent throughout, finishing every day in a class podium position.
Price finished the demanding four-day event on a high, with a statement ride in the final moto on day four. Price charged to a memorable 11-second win in the E1 class, in a performance that also saw him place fourth outright across all the categories.
“It was an absolutely awesome week of racing on unreal terrain,” Price reflected. “There was a lot of diversity in the special tests and we didn’t ride the same tests each day. My KX250X handled unreal all week and it didn’t miss a beat.
“I’m really happy with how I progressed throughout the event and winning the final moto was a real highlight, especially against such stiff competition. I couldn’t be more stoked with my performance and to keep the momentum rolling into Hattah next month.”
Price will next be in action at the 2023 Hattah Desert Race between 30 June to 2 July.
